Better Tourism Africa
Better Tourism Africa (previously the International Centre for Responsible Tourism – South Africa), was established in 2006. We believe that tourism should help build prosperous and inclusive local economies, healthy natural environments, and celebrate and preserve cultures. Through our continent-wide network of activists we advocate and agitate for responsible tourism. We do so while working in partnership with tourism businesses, governments, donors and civil society.

South African Tourism
Eco Atlas has integrated with the South African Tourism travel directory to give recognition to accommodation, attractions and activities with good eco ethics.
Sustainable Tourism Alliance
The Sustainable Tourism Certification Alliance Africa, formerly known as the Sustainable Tourism Network Southern Africa (STNSA), is an alliance of sustainable tourism certification stakeholders in Africa, with an initial focus on countries in southern and East Africa. The Alliance aims to enable an integrated approach to sustainable tourism certification throughout the continent.
Sustainable Tourism Partnership Programme
The STPP facilitates the implementation of Sustainable Tourism Practices in Smaller Accommodation Establishments across South Africa thus ensuring alignment to the National Minimum Standard of Responsible Tourism. The programme is set to contribute significantly to the tourism industry becoming sustainable and to realize the requirements of the National Tourism Sector Strategy by 2020.
