Just an hour’s drive from Cape Town, Fynbos Estate is a unique and special place, coined ‘a hidden gem’ and ‘a corner of paradise’. Set in a kloof of the Paardeberg, Fynbos Estate has come to be a favourite amongst local and overseas guests with a love of nature and countryside, comfortable yet simple accommodation, and fine quality food and wine.
An old farmhouse and cottages nestled amongst vineyards, olive groves and mountains, make Fynbos Estate ideal for getaways, workshops, retreats and conferences. Lovely gardens, a pavilion and a simple chapel, create a magical setting for weddings, parties, and other functions. Fynbos caters for up to 20 people in the farmhouse and up to 90 in the Pavilion.
Fynbos Estate follows ethical principles; it makes organic olive and lemon products, uses itw own fresh vegetable, free-range birds, farm-sourced meats, and it has a small organic winery, Dragonridge.
Besides great walks and bike rides, there are also various projects to join if guests would like to get out of the city, from wine making to path forging. The mountain is just about to be declared a nature reserve as part of the Cape Stewardship programme.
The accommodation is child and pet friendly.
