Ocean Odyssey, Knysna’s only permitted close encounter operator, our team is passionate about showcasing our prolific marine life and our incredibly picturesque & scenic coastline.

Knysna is blessed with year-round sightings – large pods of Dolphins and regular sightings of Brydes whales.  From June through to November/December Knysna’s you can sight our incredible migrating whales, as our waters teem with Southern right and humpback whales and they skirt our coastline while making their way to the tropics.

Our vessels have been retrofitted with the latest fuel efficient low emission, low smoke and low sound emitting engines.

You will find us conveniently located in the centre of Knysna town, easy walk-on jetties access our vessels moored at Thesen harbour town.  Trips depart daily at 9.30am, 12 & 3pm-  individuals families and groups welcome.   Our Ocean Odyssey gift and curio shop offers a wide variety of ocean inspired proudly South African clothing, décor and gifts sourced from local crafters and artists.
