The Potato Patch is a beautiful thatched, light and airy self catering cottage in Greyton. It combines country with a touch of history as it is one of the old farmer’s cottages and to this day potatoes and seasonal vegetables are still grown on the property.
Greyton markets itself as “pure country, no additives”. It is the first village in South Africa endorsed as a Transition Town. Currently the village is moving toward being a plastic bag free town. By introducing the various eco friendly initiatives at the Potato Patch we are doing our bit to reduce our carbon footprint. Within the next month, our guests will not only have herbs to pick but will receive a basket of organically home grown seasonal vegetables including an easy recipe. We just want to share the magic of country life.
The cottage has a baby Godin wood burner to keep you warm in the winter chill.
